- **Southern sites** (Manta Alley) are driven by dry-season upwelling from the Indian Ocean and drop to roughly **20–25 °C**, most sharply in **August**.
- Any August figure published on this site is that north/south pair, not one averaged number. A 3 mm suit is the usual minimum in the north; 5 mm is common in the south.

## Park fees (checked 27 August 2026)
Under Government Regulation PP No. 36/2024 (effective 30 October 2024):
- Foreign visitors (WNA): a flat **IDR 250,000 per person per visit** — the same on weekdays, weekends, and public holidays, and the same across every island inside the park (Komodo, Rinca, Padar, Pink Beach). There is no per-island surcharge.
- Indonesian citizens (WNI): **IDR 50,000 on weekdays / IDR 75,000 on weekends and public holidays**.
- A mandatory local guide fee of roughly **IDR 150,000 per group of 1-5 people** applies on top; independent trekking without a ranger-accompanied guide is not permitted on Komodo or Rinca Island.
- Practical all-in budget for a foreign visitor: approximately **IDR 400,000-525,000 per person per visit**.

that fixes them.

- **Airlines into Labuan Bajo (LBJ):** this site names the carriers by ROUTE, because the two routes
  are not served by the same airlines. On the Denpasar (DPS) route it names Wings Air, Batik Air,
  Super Air Jet and Indonesia AirAsia, and notes that which airline flies which day changes with the
  season and demand. On the Jakarta (CGK) route it names four non-stop operators for 2024-2026:
  Indonesia AirAsia, Batik Air, Citilink and Garuda Indonesia.

- **Batu Cermin:** Batu Cermin (Goa Batu Cermin) is a limestone **cave** a short drive outside Labuan
  Bajo, best visited mid-morning in the dry season, when sunlight angles in through the roof and
  reflects off the rock. The named sunrise viewpoint above Labuan Bajo town is **Sylvia Hill**.

- **August rainfall in Labuan Bajo:** roughly **20 mm of rain across the whole month**, falling on
  roughly **four to six rainy days**. August is the driest month of the year there, but it is not a
