What is worth putting in a trip enquiry

An operator can answer a great deal faster when the first message already carries the constraints. The five below are the ones that change the answer most:

• Travel month and year, or the window you are choosing between
• Group size — adults, and children with ages if any are travelling
• What the trip is for: diving, trekking, photography, a honeymoon, a family holiday
• How many nights you can give it — a day trip, 3D2N, or something longer
• Health, dietary, or accessibility considerations that affect boat choice

Budget is worth naming too, in whatever currency you think in. We do not publish tier labels or bracket names on this site, because the honest answer is that cabin class, boat size, and charter length move the number far more than any label would suggest — the cost breakdown walks through why.

If you are correcting something we published

This is the more useful message, and it goes to the same two channels. Park fees change, official URLs move, and a figure that was right in March can be wrong by August. Send the page URL and the specific line, and if you were charged something different at the ranger post, say what you actually paid. Every regulatory and pricing page here cites a named source with the month it was checked, so a correction can be traced back to whichever source went stale. How far ahead to write

Timing advice is worth separating from sales pressure, so here is the shape of it without either. July and August are the busiest and priciest months in Komodo National Park, and December sits in the peak of the wet season with its own weather constraints — for peak dates, four to six months of lead time is realistic for a full private charter, and three to six months for a specific private or premium cabin. April to June and September to October are the balance months: dry weather, thinner crowds, and four to eight weeks is usually enough. In the November to March wet season, two to four weeks generally works. Under thirty days is not hopeless, but the choice narrows to whatever has an unsold cabin.

Two structural limits sit behind all of that and are not negotiable by any operator: Komodo National Park caps visitors at 1,000 people per day across the whole park, split into three scheduled sessions, and since 1 April 2026 Komodo Island and Padar require an advance SiOra e-ticket booked through siora.id.
